I grew up on a farm in Manitoba, Canada, where winters are long and cold. That’s where I found the ice—and figure skating became my first love. I was drawn in by the feeling of flying, but it was the grace and expression of the sport that truly lit something in me.

After many years of training and competing, my body began to feel the toll of that intense lifestyle. Injuries started to surface—some loud, some quiet—and they eventually led me to explore new ways to move… and ways to heal. I tried it all: dance, Pilates, yoga, movement therapy, circus arts, functional training, osteopathy. Each path offered something valuable, but none of them fully spoke to my soul. Then in 2016, I met Misty and discovered Groove.

Up until then, movement had always come with rules—how to do it right, how to be the best. Your self-worth based on a number. But with Groove, all of that melted away. I felt free again—just like that kid on the ice.

That freedom became my compass. I followed it out of the life I had in Canada and into a new one in Costa Rica—closer to nature, closer to my body, and closer to joy. The jungle welcomed me home. I’m so grateful for every step that brought me here—and it’s a true honor to share this journey with you on the Body Groove app.
